I was raised in New England and graduated from RISD in 1986.

Throughout my years of painting I have mostly turned to landscape to express feeling I am unable to put to words. I love how pigment mixed with oil, pastels or charcoal softly blended can convey so much emotion. I try to create meditative spaces which evoke a sense of quiet simplicity and calm reflection. I am deeply influenced by the 19th century Romantics and their focus on light, solitude, nature, melancholy and decay. As well, inspiration from daily life and the beauty of objects and magical moments inspire my work.
